Our recently upgraded plating line is supported by our own onsite moulding facility. For those who prefer a painted finish our in house paint facility has been supplying parts since 2019.

•QPP is built on a strong foundation of being the first Plating On Plastics company in the UK. Formed in 1965 as Plated Plastic Developments, in 1991 the company was bought by the Qualtronic Group and added to their finishing division operating on two sites in Tipton and Great Barr, specialising in electromagnetic shielding and decorative plating.
•In 2001 John Timmins led a management buyout and began the journey QPP is still on today.
•2015 - QPP Opens its own moulding facility on Shady Lane.
•2016 - The plating line is upgraded to introduce an Auto Dose System on the Satin chrome This ensures an improved colour consistency throughout the working week.
•2017 - Exterior Chrome Plating is added to the range of finishes offered
•2018 – Twin Shot Mould Machine added to the range of presses on site
•2019 – QPP Paint facility opened on Shady Lane to offer a range of finishes including chrome effect paint & technical finishes
•2020 –Mould Machine press range increases with the additional of 800T & 1100T presses
•2021 - £750K plating line extension complete to add Trivalent CR3 in Bright, satin & Dark Chrome to the line
•2022 – On site lab equipment upgrade to include test equipment for the new dark chrome finishes
•2023 – QPP Precision Tooling & Engineering becomes the newest part of the QPP family. Bringing tool making in-house with team who have year of expertise in injection tool design & manufacture as well as a long working relationship with QPP
•2024 – New plating line build offer a full range of finishes in both CR3 & CR6 from Europe’s newest plating line
•2025 – New solar panel project in the works
