Since 1965 Quality Plated Products has established reputation as an invaluable member of the supply chain as a supplier of high quality plastic products.
QPP has always been at the forefront of product development establishing ourselves market leader in Plating On Plastics. Over the years the company has continued to grow and enhance our product offering to customers to ensure we can provide a complete design to delivery service for all you project needs.
As a company we aim to be provide our customers with all their plastics requirements. From our manufacturing sites in Birmingham & Telford we can offer a complete solution for your plastic needs. Our recently upgraded plating line is supported by our own onsite moulding facility. For those who prefer a painted finish our in house paint facility has been supplying parts since 2019.

Our Journey
QPP is built on a strong foundation of being the first Plating On Plastics company in the UK. Formed in 1965 as Plated Plastic Developments, in 1991 the company was bought by the Qualtronic Group and added to their finishing division operating on two sites in Tipton and Great Barr, specialising in electromagnetic shielding and decorative plating.
2001
John Timmins led a management buyout and began the journey QPP is still on today
2015
We strengthened our operations by launching an in-house moulding facility, giving us full control over quality and output
2016
The introduction of an Auto Dose System refined our satin chrome plating, ensuring precise colour consistency
2017
Our capabilities broadened with the addition of exterior chrome plating, offering even greater finishing flexibility
2018
A year later saw the arrival of 2K Moulding Machines, enabling the production of complex, multi-material components
2019
Our journey continued with the opening of a dedicated paint facility, delivering technical coatings, premium chrome effect finishes, and lacquer over chrome plated finishes
2020
New 800t and 1100t moulding machines expanded our moulding capacity to meet growing customer demand
2021
A £750K plating line extension allowed us to offer advanced Trivalent CR3 Bright, Satin, and Dark Chrome finishes
2022
We enhanced our in-house laboratory with state-of-the-art testing equipment, deepening our expertise in dark chrome development
2023
The launch of QPP Precision Tooling & Engineering marked a major step forward – bringing injection tool design and manufacturing fully in-house
2024
We reached a new milestone with the commissioning of Europe’s newest plating line, offering full CR3 and CR6 capability
2025
Our solar panel project reflects our ongoing commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable future
